Play full screen video from button

I’m trying have a video play full screen on the page when a visitor clicks on a button named “Watch Video”. I’ve tried the normal video widget using the image overlay but then the thumbnail size is too big for the area I want the button to be in. I could obviously link the video to a button but I want the visitor to stay on my webpage, not be forced to watch it on YouTube. Thanks for any help!
