    Hi pairadyce,

    In the current version of the plugin, the popularity is increased each time is visited the particular webpage of the song, and not when it is played, it is a way to know the interest in the song. However, we are working in a new version of the plugin, that will be available very soon, to increase the popularity of songs when their pages are visited, and their audio files are played (calling with AJAX the server to increase the popularity)
