    Hi John,
Thanks for your message. Apologies for the delay in a reply – I was away for the weekend.

What you’re experiencing is currently expected behaviour. Let me explain:

In version 1.2 (the previous version of BNFW), the plugin was set to send *all* emails in HTML. This however was effecting how all emails were being sent out from WordPress, including emails not sent out by BNFW. It was also messing up their formatting.

In v1.3 (the current version at time of writing), I had to ensure that this wouldn’t happen so have set the default sending format for all emails to plain text for BNFW. You can then change this on a per-notification basis except for transactional emails. Unfortunately, WordPress doesn’t allow transactional emails to be sent out via HTML unless set to send out *all* emails as HTML.

In the next version, a new option in the BNFW settings will allow you to control whether to set all emails that WordPress sends out to either HTML or Plain Text on a global basis. This however, will come with a warning, stating that it might interfere with how other emails are sent out from WordPress.

I’ll leave this ticket open until the new version with this feature comes out.

Hope this helps but if you have any questions, just let me know.

    Thanks,
    Jack
