Placing my RSS Feed in an HTML Page

I want my pages in my main web site to read my WP RSS feed. The web site uses html pages, the WP RSS feed is wp-rss2.php. I currently use a free service (www.feeddigest.com) that provides javascript to read the feed and insert it in an HTML page, but it’s subject to occasional outages/delays.

Does anyone know of a solution–javascript or otherwise–that would allow me to simply read my WP RSS feed from within HTML pages? Both WP and the web site are within the same domain and on the same server. Is it crazy to wish my HTML pages could simply “read” the RSS output? What works for you? Thanks!
