Places taken not working anymore

Btw. when I have a look at the registrations (where I can export all participants with all attributes) the total amount of ‘Places taken’ is also not visible anymore.

Ah, one further hint -> First, after update the ‘Places taken’ was still visible on the screen and also on the Registration page in the admin panel. But I recognized that the counter remains the same, even if a new registrant registers. I then deleted ALL participants and after that the number of total participants does not appear anymore. Independent if there are 2, 5 or ten.

It really is difficult to help you without actually examining the exact data stored and stepping it through logic. To do this you would have to provide me a clone of your system. The easiest way to do this is with ‘Duplicator’ but exclude the uploads / media files ( as I don’t need images : ) anything else is pretty random guessing if I can’t replicate the issue on my test system.

First I will try your steps – delete all participants ( I assume via the report ), then obviously participants should not appears – but then add back some registrations.

I have gone through your scenario on my test system and can not replicate any issue – it is working as expected. I can share a screen video of what I did so perhaps you could spot a different action?

If you want to investigate further yourself these are the main steps I would take ( making sure you are working either on a test site of you have a good working backup )
1) re-download the 9.0.11 ( it is not unknown for downloads to miss files )
2) set debug on
3) eliminate all conflict possibilities – i.e. deactivate all plugins excpet this one and revert to a default theme
4) repeat your tests

When you specify ‘places required’ on the registration form the form fails to validate that the places is a positive integer >= 1 and allows a bank or space – which results in no places being registered.

This will be fixed in a future release.
