placeholder=”some text” in WP DP

    Hello,

    I need to have some text (like birth date for example) displayed into the DP field when the page loads.
    I wrote placeholder=”Birth Date” in CF7. It works but as soon the mouse is moved, this behavior is overridden by some jquery event which causes the field to get empty (or to display the default date, depending on DP is set up).
    Is there a Work Around ?

    Yann,

    Default value is understandable but when a text field turned into datepicker, it will set it’s own default value which is empty at the moment. You can try with jQuery instead, it will restore placeholder. In case you are unable to do that, let me know, i might will bring some ease in this situation.
