Placeholder text not showing

It looks like there might be a conflict between the theme and form styles for placeholder text.

To change the color of the placeholder text, you can refer to the CSS snippet in our documentation on how to style the placeholder text.

I’m having the same problem. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
– deactivated all plugins to see if there was a conflict
– made sure base & theme styling is selected in settings
– uninstalled plugin (and all files) and reinstalled
– tried using code linked to above

My theme (Divi) and WP are both up-to-date.

I’ve used the same setup on other websites and I’ve never had this problem. Any suggestions?
