Place text over background image

  • I have a full image background website with a text area all the way to the right. My main navigation menu is located at the top of the page.
    I would like some extra menu items on the left hand side of the page, but without any background. Just a few ′floating′ links.

    This website is quite similar to what I need:

    Please note I don’t need these Flash functionality, I am only looking for the best way to include some extra ‘floating’ menu links.
    Anyone?
