• Want to move my social media icons up to the top nav menu area of my site (beneath the nav menu). They are currently in the right-hand menu area.

Also want to get rid of the current newsletter sign up box which is large and obtrusive. Want to swap it out for a simple “Subscribe” box which when clicked opens a small form for name and email. Again, want this up in the top nav menu area, along with the social media icons.

My goal is to simplify and consolidate all of this info – don’t want it lost on the page or sucking up space that could ultimately be used by editorial or ad content.

I am pretty clueless so please respond using basic, non-techy terms suitable for a small child or somewhat medicated adult.:)

    Cheers!

    Hey there lynmark!

It might be easier for you to just find a theme that offers a layout that you want, rather than making these changes. Either way, for anyone to help you out here, we need to see your site to know what you’re dealing with! So URL…. please? ??

Mork- thank you so much for responding! Sorry for delay but didn’t see your response. My site is https://www.livewelltimes.com – thought it was listed under my ID. I just want a more streamlined look. I am thinking that the black bar at the very top of the site that currently contains “Now Trending” stuff could be re-purposed to house my social media icons, search box and “Subscribe” box. I don’t know what this black box portion is and can’t locate it in the back-end interface. Thsnks again.

We have a few clients that utilize SumoMe, https://sumome.com/

Very easy way to implement some new social media sharing buttons & newsletter subscription box that can popup as the user scrolls.

SumoMe offers a very intuitive interface that makes all of this pretty easy to implement and customize.

I am in no way related to the company so can’t answer any specific questions but I’ve heard and seen good things, maybe something to consider if you’re looking for easy implementation without having to hire a developer :).
