Place order button greyed out on mobile browsers – staging site working properly

    The ‘place order’ button on Woocommerce checkout page is greyed out and does not become clickable, on mobile browsers only. It works properly on every computer and iPad tried so far. Additionally (but less important) the ‘add to cart’ options under product thumbnails also do not work (on mobile browsers only).

    I made sure all plugins are updated, and then I changed the theme to StoreFront and deactivated all other plugins but WooCommerce — and the problem remained. I also created a staging site and there finally got the mobile browser checkout (and add to cart) to work properly. This happened (?) to occur after setting Stripe payments up. But now, I’ve removed Stripe and am using the DPO plugin I intend to use for payment — and the staging site works perfectly.

    I matched exactly the live site to the staging site (even setting Stripe up and then removing it), but still the live checkout will not work properly.

    I am not good (have no idea) with code and customization and haven’t touched any of that stuff. But will try if that’s what I need to do.The majority of my race entries are expected to come from mobile users.

    I am using theme Lodestar.

    Hey all, I got this worked out — well, rather someone who understands computers far better than I got this worked out. As best as I can understand, this was the problem:

    wc-ajax (WooCommerce ajax) was returning a 404 error for the following WooCommerce calls:
    wc-ajax=get_refreshed_fragments
    wc-ajax=update_order_review

    Also there were some odd URL Rewriting rules in htaccess.

    Sorry I can’t tell you more about exactly how to fix this problem. But this was the basics of it, I am told.
