Place custom CSS in theme stylesheet or in the plugin directory?

    Just a quick question…
    I want to use some of my own CSS to alter the textareas and other elements of my meta boxes. After initially attempting to place my styles inside my own theme’s stylesheet it seemed apparent that Im doing this wrong.

    Where is the correct place to put custom meta box styles?
