  • An answer to this question would be really useful as im trying to upload images to the slider and they keep getting cropped or stretched etc so the optimum upload size for laptop would avoid a lot of headache….please.

    Many thanks

OK so after much experimenting on a 15″ laptop I have found 1200 x 350 works best, the images also look great on iPhone, 27″ Mac, and iPad.

Have a look here, its my first attempt at a website and I only started it last night so please excuse its flaws.

    Hi Flamedodger!

Im from Denmark, so I hope you can understand my explenation and spelling…..

I have a windows pc and I made the pictures with the free program pixlr.com/editor

Here is what worked for me……….

    The slides:

I made a white box in pixlr that was 300 px high and then the width ajusted it self. Then I made a pic that was 200 px high (and the width ajusted it self) and put in the boks.

    The “featured areas”:
I found that it was 480 px width and 200 px high.
I made a white box in that size and put in a pic that was 180 px high (and the width was ajusted by it self).

If you find out how to change the text in the “read more” button (I want it to be danish, please let me know! ??

My web is far from done, but it is https://www.overskudtilmor.dk

Also I need to know how to change the text color in the Feature area and in the Sidebar widgets.
