    Hello,

I need help to successfully connect my Woocommerce account to my Facebook page.

I have installed the plugin, run through the set-up wizard, and got the message telling me that my store was connected successfully.

When I go to set up my catalogue through Facebook, however, and when given the option to choose how to import products, I am choosing the pixel method.I get the following error message:

    Pixel not ready.
To use this pixel to add or update items in your catalogue, you need to install the required microdata tags on your website.

I really don’t know how to install the microdata tags, and it was my understanding that the set-up wizard should have done this for me.

The strange thing is that if I go to FB business manager, it shows that my catalogue has 24 items in it, approximately 1/3 of my available products, however, when setting up the Facebook shop through the normally Facebook interface as accessed through my page, the Pixel is “not ready.”

For some reason, it shows that I have 2 pixels, both of which are not ready.

I’ve been struggling with this for months, and I just want a solution so I can sell my products on FB and Instagram.

    Please can you help?

I can give you admin access to my WordPress and FB account if you are able to deal with this remotely?

    Kind Regards,
    Chris Tutton

  • Hi Chris!

    Thanks for reaching out!

First, Please make sure you’re on the latest version of the Facebook for WooCommerce Plugin.

It would be great if you double checked that all of your other plugins are up to date too!

Once you’ve made sure you’re up to date proceed with the next steps.

Since at least some of your products have sync’d can you please try forcing a manual sync to try and get the rest of them?

You can do this from WP-admin > Marketing > Facebook > Product sync and then clicking the sync button.

This may take a bit to complete depending on the amount of products you have on your site.

Once that finishes if you don’t see a change, please try the following:

Please try to disconnect and reconnect from Facebook by following this guide to disconnect and reconnect: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce/facebook-for-woocommerce-how-to-re-connect/

If that doesn’t help please follow this guide to purge things on the Facebook side of things too: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce/facebook-for-woocommerce-uninstall-plugin-and-remove-woocommerce-facebook-app/

    Then try reconnecting again.

This disconnect and reconnection process should result in a new pixel being created and connected with the correct data.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
