pixabay error: No content could be found.

    Thanks for this great Plugin , I have just installed it on a GoDaddy managed word press hosting , and I keep getting this error for each and every search :-

    pixabay error: No content could be found.

    Flickr is working perfectly but pixabay is not working at all to be honest , I saw some one else has recently raised this issue and you advised that the keyword search didn’t return a result in Pixabay but we searched for soo many simple keywords and the last one was “baby”.

    Let me know if we’re missing something ?

    Hi,

    sorry for the slow response. Pixabay is working fine for me and others, so the most likely reason I could think of would be that the connection to their API gets blocked on your server. Security settings or a firewall could for example block certain outgoing connections.

    Can you please go to the following URL (adjusted for your site) and see if results are shown there:

    YOURSITE.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=wpdf-options&test=1

    Also worth a try would be to disable all your other plugins temporarily just to make sure there is no conflict.

    Hi, Pixabay hasn’t been working lately for me either. It did originally, so not sure what’s changed. Going to that URL just gives me the options page, should I be seeing other results?

    I haven’t had a chance to disable the other plugins yet.

    I’ll do a separate post as I have another issue.

    Hi Thomas,

    I just updated my Plugin to the latest on ( @ 9 :30 am GMT on the 24th July ) and that has fixed my issues with Pixabay.

    Interesting linearwhiz, there were actually no changes at all to Pixabay in the last update. donmcleman did you have a similar experience or is Pixabay still not working?

    Hi, I still don’t have Pixabay however I’m looking at some javascript conflicts – I’ll get back to you with an update in the next day or so.

    I am getting the same error with the latest plugin version, freshly installed.

    At first I was getting “pixabay error: cUrl not installed on server.” Then I ran the following:

    1. sudo apt-get install curl (result: curl is already the newest version)
    2. sudo apt-get install php5-curl (result: 1 newly installed)
    3. sudo service apache2 restart (result: Restarting web server apache2)

    Now I’m getting the “no content could be found” error.

    This is on a fresh WordPress 3.9.2 install on Ubuntu 14.04 x64.

    Hi, Trebormf, I still haven’t fixed my problem. I haven’t fully explored the possibility of JavaScript conflicts, so I can’t rule that out.

    Where does your error message appear?

    If Flickr is working for you then this is unlikely to be related to a Javascript conflict.

    Pixabay seems to be working fine for most people though including myself and I could not replicate these errors yet. Could either of you send me a login to your blog so that I can invesigate there directly? You can use the contact form on my site to do so.
