Pique Theme – Copy Grid Template

    I want to create a new page template based on the grid template. While a page based on this new template shows ok, the child pages are not shown when the page is shown in one of the front page panels.

    Maybe a newbie question, but help is appreciated…

    This is what I did:
    1. Created a child theme
    2. Copied the template-grid.php to template-grid2.php (in the page-templates folder)
    3. Changed the template name in the header to Grid2

    So, both templates should be exactly the same. However, when using the new template, no child windows are shown in the panel…

    Still would appreciate some ideas.

    I suspect WP is not finding the template. I tried not using a child theme, but using a complete copy of Pique (just renamed the package to PiquePlay) with the additional template file. Still the same result – no children are shown when assigning the Grid2 template. Everything works fine when using the standard Grid template. The same php code in both templates, so why is one working and the other is not?

    Found the answer myself – needed to add some code in content-front.php.
