Pinterest/Like type plugin for on-site content curation

I’m about to develop a WordPress site and know that I need to implement some functionality that allows people to subscribe to the site as a user and then like/pin blog articles or maybe even images from within the site. These articles/images would then be available through their admin panel, and serve as a place for them to gather and curate ideas.

The user portion of the process doesn’t sound overly difficult to me, as users and user roles are built right into WordPress. The part I’m unsure about is creating my own like/pin system on the website. I would prefer to use a plugin that someone else has built, so that I don’t have to reinvent the wheel. I did search a little, but didn’t see anything that stood out to me as a quality plugin to accomplish this.

I’d like to find out if anyone else has already implemented this on a WordPress site, and what have they found to be the best and most efficient option.
