Hi – Pinterest has been ticked in the wizard during set-up and is listed on the scan page but then doesn’t appear in the cookie policy?

Any guidance on how to resolve please? Thanks

Thanks for coming back to me.

My site is currently being developed so unable to send a link at this time. Is there anything I can try please? Otherwise will ping you a link once it’s published. Thanks for your time.

Could you please click the button at the bottom of the page “Add service” in the section “Cookiedatabase.org” and customize the service as following?

    Screenshot 2

Once saved click again “Sync”, delete the website cache and check again.

If it doesn’t save the service try creating a random service following the same steps, if it won’t be saved it means there’s a caching issue so you should check your cache plugin and:

    1) Disable all features related to JS optimization
    2) Or whitelist our JS https://complianz.io/javascript-delay-in-wp-rocket-and-other-caching-and-optimization-plugins/

Thanks again for your time. I’ve tried as far as I’ve understood to follow your instructions but I just can’t get Pinterest to appear on the cookie policy, nor Instagram (just spotted that). YouTube and TikTok are there fine so I don’t understand.

I’ve just spent nearly four hours on this so think I’m going to have to give up for now.

Okay so it’s now working if I add in test cookies (as in Pinterest then appears in the cookie policy). But shouldn’t it be automatically listing the pinterest cookies or do I need to establish which ones are being used and manually add them??

On my website (still not published I’m afraid) I simply have a “Pin it” button and a link to social media profiles. No embedded content at this stage (if that matters).?

As I say, no issues with TikTok or YouTube but it’s just not picking up any cookies for Pinterest or Instagram. Thanks.

    Hello @jasminekay ,

Complianz performs a daily scan, so if it’s not picking up Pinterest, it might be due to your WordPress installation. However, please note that Complianz provides a Cookie Policy with comprehensive cookie descriptions supplied by cookiedatabase.org. We connect to this open-source database using an external API, which sends the results of the cookie scan (a list of found cookies, used plugins, and your domain) to cookiedatabase.org. This is done to provide a user an accurate description and to keep them up-to-date regularly.

If the specific Pinterest cookie is not picked up automatically, you can manually sync it. Simply click on “Sync service with cookiedatabase.org” on the manually inserted cookie and then click the sync button on the page. This will ensure the cookie is synced and available for future scans, both for you and other users.
