After last update I was prompted to re-authenticate. My account got disconnected apparently so I followed the on-boarding process. I got the option to connect a new catalog or catalog already connected, so I picked the second one. Anyways, it apparently created a new catalog and now it’s conflicting with the one I already have connected. I’m getting this error now. Would you please advise on how to proceed.

@bartoszbudzanowski please do not pretend not knowing what @bodeha is asking about:

YOU FIXED NOTHING YET, see below from 2 weeks ago. I am still waiting for the fix!

    Hi @iliafrescocom,

Just like the earlier discussion on this thread, our team is actively working on resolving this issue for you.

We will reach out with an update soon.

    Thank you for your patience.

@iliafrescocom I don’t pretend anything. I need to know what @bodeha was expecting in his last messages. Fix the plugin or delete it completely because it was not clear from his messages what he wants in the end.

A little background, sorry if this was already mentioned somewhere: the last release have been forced by Pinterest API change to V5. This forced a complete revamp of the plugins backend. We did our best to ensure smooth transition for every merchant. As you can clearly see from this forum there are some cases where the new backend fails. You are in the unfortunate group for which I am sorry. Staying on the old version of the plugin is also not an option because the old Pinterest API may soon be disabled – that will not happen soon we are just making sure that we are ready when it will happen.

As you can see from the exchange between @jaspix and @purplelemur we are actively working on fixing issues.

I understand that venting frustration is necessary but it will not help us finding the root cause. If you have an issue other than the one outlined by @jaspix please create a new forum thread. If the problem is the same we should release updates soon.

    Best Regards,
    Bartosz

If your issue is like mine (only one error notification) and you didn’t try to resolve it yourself (not deleting the plugin and its data) then try the last version (1.4.10) @purplelemur posted above. It seemingly fixes the issue for me, so far no inconveniences have arise. I’m still waiting for a new ingestion with added products and the last version to be officially released on WordPress to mark this issue as resolved.

If your issue is not fixed with the last version posted above, please open a new thread.

Opening a new thread simply means the developers don’t take responsability for this issue, and it’s called redundancy. Why open a new thread for the same issue ? If there are a thousand people with the same issue, having everyone open a new thread makes it easier for developers to fix the issue? On the contrary, it makes it HARDER to fix the issue, because that way they may need to give the same answer, or ask the same questions all overs again, a thousand times !

    Please @purplelemur look into this.
I have installed the latest version indicated by you, issue isn’t fixed.

Every single time I go to admin dashboard, the number of reported failed deletions increases by 1.

As a coder myself, I can’t believe it would be so hard to look into this, and fix it ! If the user has selected that USING THE PREVIOUSLY EXISTING FEED is their option, THERE IS NO FEED DELETION NECESSARY.
If the user has selected a new feed, then again, DELETING THE OLD FEED IS UNNECESSARY.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but these issues simply stem from the existance of this feed deletion part, which is completely unnecessary in an automated way, it should only exist as an option on a list, like “Here’s the list of your feeds, click the X on the right to delete this feed”.

@bartoszbudzanowski Brother you seem to be a coder, part of the team working on this plugin.

Please consider what I’ve written above: that feed deletion function is UNNECESSARY in an automated form. That could solve a lot of issues. Feed deletion doesn’t need to be automated, makes zero sense whatsoever, is not necessary for the merchant, not required by the platform (Pinterest) , as one can have several feeds and they don’t collide with each other, so what’s the purpose of the feed deletion algorithm ?

    Thank you

No, it simply means your issue is different than mine, which is fixed. And you’ll do developers a favor if you document it with detail in another support thread.

I guess it’s because url mismatch (which was my case) so either option of the two will do fine. As @purplelemur said above it will only enable/disable product sync option in the Pinterest settings.

But then again, my issue is resolved, if the fix posted above doesn’t do it for you open another thread as it may be a completely different issue despite looking the same.
