AddToAny loads Pinterest’s script directly, so issues with it are on Pinterest’s end.

They’ve had intermittent issues over the last several days. You might try clearing your browser’s cache to pull in their latest update.

I test with a another clear navigator but it’s the same problem.

With the little button “Pin it”, there is no problem

The problem went away for a few days but it’s back again. It doesn’t have anything to do with clearing the browser cache and I question whether it’s on “Pinterest’s End” because the Pin It button is working just fine with other plugins.

Micropat, please look into this problem. I have AddToAny installed on one site and the Pinterest button doesn’t work. On another site with exactly the same plugins but I’m using Really Simple Share and the Pinterest button is working perfectly.

On one site I replaced AddToAny with Social Media Feather and the Pinterest button works perfectly.

This suggests that it’s not really a problem on Pinterest’s end.

10 minutes later and it’s working again. I’ll report back in if it stops working again.

I’m having the same issue. The browser dims and that’s it. Please help.

I finally switched to another plugin because it started happening to me again. I’m using Really Simple Share now since I was using it on many other sites and it’s not experiencing this problem.

As a matter of fact, I haven’t been able to find any other plugins that does this strange dimming problem when users click on the Pin It button.

The fact that other plugins don’t seems to be affected by this really suggest to me that it’s not a problem on Pinterest’s end.

@phahne You haven’t tested another plugin that uses Pinterest’s secure script by default.

This is the file that’s had display issues for some people:
    https://assets.pinterest.com/js/pinmarklet.js

Pinterest has been working to fix related script issues:
    https://github.com/pinterest/widgets/issues/51

AddToAny is now loading in their HTTP script on HTTP sites until Pinterest’s HTTPS display issue is resolved. Secure sites will continue to load the HTTPS version.
