Pinterest button doesn't show count

Also, should the Pinterest button count show repins?

If so our count should be at 4 for this post. However, as with many of our posts, it still shows 0.

@eatnabout thanks so much for bringing this to our attention. We’ve determined the bug causing this and anticipate releasing a fix soon!

@eatnabout can you try upgrading to the latest version of the plugin? We released a few enhancements for Pinterest Share Counts to make them more reliable.

btw, if you’d like to test what Pinterest is logging for your URLs, you can check via their share counts API directly:

Note: Pinterest doesn’t do a great job handling canonical URLs.

Thanks, I upgraded yesterday. I’m having some other issues as well, such as Pinterest count resetting and then starting again from zero; the count for this post has been reset twice and is currently back to zero again:

Not sure if this is a separate issue, or if the plugin update fixes this too? Or if it’s a Pinterest issue? I contacted their support about it over a week ago but haven’t heard back yet.
