Hello and thank you for using our plugin.

The styles actually come from Pinterest. They might be able to be changed, but if they are it would probably require a lot of work to do it, like some JavaScript.

The problem is that Pinterest adds !important to all of their styles and then they load the styles in a way that makes it difficult to override with CSS in normal situations.

Even if you inspect the element and try to overwrite the CSS for the class with your own it usually doesn’t end up taking the new style.

Hopefully they will change this someday, but at this point there is not much advice I can give for changing it. Sorry about that.

    Nick,

It seems someone has found a workaround:
    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/24631575/use-html-and-css-to-change-background-of-pinterest-widget

Can you tell me how I can use the above workaround in conjunction with your plugin?
I think it’s worth noting that I’m using a child theme and am avoiding the manipulation of the root files of my theme. But, in this situation, must I alter them to be able to get the styles to effect the widget?

    Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
    Thank you!
