Pings not working

    Well, the problem is not with WordPress or Pingomatic, since blo.gs shows your blog’s most recent update inline with its most recent post. See: https://blo.gs/info.php?id=9762704 This means that WordPress is properly pinging Pingomatic and that Pingomatic is properly pinging its update services. This appears to be a problem that is specific to the update services which you are currently having trouble with and you should contact their support departments. Also, pinging update services multiple times without any blog updates between pings may result in your blog being temporarily or permanently banned from certain update services, such as Technorati.

    I understand what you are saying about sendind a ping without updating. I sent a support request to Technorati this morning so I will wait for their response which I am sure will take some time.
