Ping Google skipped: Sitemap already sent within the last 60 minutes.

  • When I do a “Ping search engines” I get this error: “Ping Google skipped: Sitemap already sent within the last 60 minutes.”
    In fact google does not detect the new articles (I have set the same plugin on other websites, same theme, and it works great).

  • Hi, pings are limited to once per hour to prevent your site being seen as “spammy” to the search engine. Are you posting more often, then you would see that message. But if not, then something is going wrong.

    Do you get that message right after publishing a new post or page? Or only after using the the button “Ping search engines” on Settings > XML Sitemap?
