Pinboard theme youtube video dimensions

I had the same problem and I could not figure it out so I just moved on to something else. Now I’m ready to find a way to fix this. None of the short codes for sizing and framing videos I found worked. In fact they had no effect at all. I know there must be an easy way to do it bc I see that a lot of people seem to really like this theme and they can’t all know more than I do. Can they?

Well I was reading on the pinboard theme support page and someone asked the same question. Unfortunately the answer that was given by Daniel Tara
was “Videos are made to be responsive, that’s why they behave like this. There’s no way to control their dimensions.”
But then Alexander said “Viper’s Video Quicktags is the plugin you need.
I tried it myself with Vimeo and youtube and it works like a charm.”
I havent tried it yet myself. I was just thanking I would give up on pinboard bc if I cant chance the video size that would be a deal breaker for me. I also read somewhere before that the only way was to edit the theme and that proved to be more than I could figure out. Let me know if it works.

I am using Pinboard theme.I want to embed the youtube video in my page. I am tired to do this but could not be solved.
For this, I did the following steps:-
1>go to youtube video page and click on share
2>choose embed option and then customize
3>copy the code and paste in my page.
But it is not working as i set the dimensions for the video.

Can anyone resolve my problem. It will be appreciated

Thanks djrobinfo. I used “Viper’s Video Quicktags” plugin and my problem has been solved. Thanks a lot

That DOES NOT work once you look at the website on a smartphone, the video doesn’t respond. It comes out as stretched in its height.
