Pinboard doesn't support videos?

My uploaded videos (flv resp. mp4) do not run! There are no problems width any other theme. It does not work in the pinboard parent theme neither in my own child theme. What can be the reason? Im working with wp 3.8.1 and the pinboard version 1.1.3.
