    Hello,

Firstly, thanks very much for a great plugin. ?? It was working perfectly when I first installed it. Unfortunately, I noticed some issues with it after I recently updated both WordPress and the plugin (and probably other plugins at the same time). Other than installing updates, no changes have been made to the blog since the plugin was last working.

    Symptoms:
-Pin It image doesn’t display, and there is no link to Pinterest.
-In static mode, a large blank space appears under each image. Height of the blank space appears to be the same size as the image above it, as if there is an invisible duplicate of each image under the visible image.

Plugin is currently in Dynamic mode with debugging turned on. Blog is here:

I don’t have any caching plugins installed, and clearing the cache on my browser didn’t help.

Please let me know if you have any advice. Thank you!

    Hi,

static mode has some issues with proper positioning, that’s why there is a dynamic mode now (which shouldn’t have those issues).

When it comes to the issues you’re having – your blog is running on a very old version of jQuery (1.3.2). I’m not 100% sure that’s the reason why the plugin doesn’t work properly, but in at least a few cases before that was the case. Please switch to a newer version of jQuery (at least 1.7, default version of jQuery that WordPress 3.6 is running is 1.10) and let me know. Chances are that would help. If not, I will take another look at the website.

    Hello,

I removed jQuery 1.3.2 from the site’s menu script. It’s now using ver 1.10.2, which was included with WP.

Unfortunately, the Pin It button is still not appearing. I would appreciate it greatly if you could take another look at the site.

    Hi again,

on your website there’s a /includes/menu.js file that includes (among other scripts) jQuery 1.3.2, so technically the website is still running jQuery 1.3.2. Please get rid of that script and let me know.

I apologize. I made changes to the menu.js file earlier, but must have forgotten to upload the new version.

You’re right, upgrading jQuery does fix your plugin. Unfortunately, it seems that anything newer than 1.3.2 kills my drop down menu *eyeroll*.

As a temporary fix, I’ve rolled the Pin It plugin back to ver 1.0, which seems to be the last version that can co-exist with the menu. I’ll have to get a less ancient menu script as a long-term fix.

Thanks very much for your help! ??

You’re welcome. I’m glad you figured it out. The solution you mentioned makes sense.
