Hello i am trying wordpress now and there are a lot of things i understand but now i seem to have a litle broblem..

After uploading 10 images i wanted to see where the pictures went. That i have figured out but can you open a list where you can see al your uploads so you can easely reuse images?

I hope my question is clear enough.

Depending on your permissions you may find a list at:

    https://your-site-address/wp-content/

You can also see the list through your FTP software.

    Maybe this helps?

thank you for your reply but doing so i get the following message

    Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /wordpress/wp-content/ on this server.

I can find it with ftp software but when someone else uses my site to post somthing and they want to reuse a picture of mine they should find the url of the picture easely and not by using ftp

You will get that Forbidden message as that is the correct response for a directiory without an image.
To allow other people to browse your directory to reuse images, you would need to either allow file listing for that directory or install a small image script to display the contents.

I have to say that I think allowing such access is a very bad idea.

You could try this IImage Browser plugin – according to some comments it works in WP 1.5, too.

well maby in the neir future i will install an image browser but for now i think its just a step to far for me i’m digging in to themes and css for now and i wanted something simple in my eyes at least but couldn’t find it.

allowing acces is a bad idea so the only thing i can think is to make a unpublished post with (copy paste) every url but that is a lot of work and will not be very effective bucause you have to rely on the title of the picture.
