Pictures not uploading WP 3.8.1

  • My pictures are not uploading to my site and I am using WP 3.8.1. It has been like this for the past few days. I am using firefox and the browser says sending request to alnisrfc.com (my website) and then just stays like that for 10 minutes.

    Please help me! I need to develop my website and upload content ASAP.

  • Same issue here. When trying to upload, it works fine, but when trying to insert doesn’t work.

    Also library is empty when accessing from within the post editor. But Media>Library does show all the images. Tried to hard code the image but it shows up as blank.

    And yes, did all the usual stuff. Deactivate plugins, switch to 2014 theme.. still the same issue.

    I spoke to my webhost and apparently they have blocked admin-ajax.php due to some security issues. I suggest those who have this problem to first check with their webhost (which is the most likely cause).

    Looks like WP users are bearing the brunt of what seems like a hasty WP upgrade.

    Same problem here, I installed the Smart Image plugin and it solved the problem.
