Pictures no longer showing up

all images, if you scroll down? maybe it’s my computer then, because i’m only seeing the top two or three.

I can see them too. But I did spot this at the bottom of your sidebar:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: is_active_sidebar() in /nfs/c02/h05/mnt/15577/domains/ridegiantbmx.com/html/wp-content/themes/vigilance/sidebar.php on line 21

I fixed the error, but can someone please go to the site and check the pictures for me again. Scroll down and tell me if they all show up.

they’re not showing up for me on any computer, and I don’t know why. I also cannot edit them in my dashboard, it doesn’t allow me.

I recently reloaded 2.7.1 and reloaded all the files. I also changed the theme, but since then I haven’t been able to view the pictures. Please offer any advice, or let me know of they show up for you?

From what I can see, the images are missing in your 2009 posts – such as the More Cherry Photos post. All indications are that these images are simply not within the appropriate uploads folder – e.g. wp-content/uploads/2009/12/tony_wallridetotable-copy.jpg

does a picture actually exist there if you ftp in?

From what I can see the files are in the correct places within the folders. I just dragged and dropped everything into the new empty folders when I reloaded WP to 2.7.1. I have since updated to 2.9.1 but the files weren’t loading before.

Is there a certain permissions setting or something that I need to change on the entire 2009 file, or move it? Or how would I go about reloading only those files? It’s currently wp-content/uploads/2009/date/photo name

You could go into each affected post and re-upload the images. I think the issue happened here:

If you didn’t upload the images through WP, they won’t be indexed in the database.

Ok, I guess I’ll re-upload the affected images. What a pain…

Can you tell me why then the 2010 images show up if they were done the same way?

All photos were originally uploaded through WP.

Not sure – other than the images that are showing would all have been uploaded post upgrade. I appreciate that you did upload the image originally through WP but if you moved the site or changed the database and then copied the image files over using FTP, they definitely won’t be in the database.
