Recently some of my fotos embedded in the text are distorted.
They are the fotos which were taken at highest camera resolution.
The fotos at lower resolutions are ok.
It just happened several days ago.

    Any help is appreciated

  • Site url? Help is free but psychic costs extra.

I’m having a similar problem. This is my first post actually on WP, I think it’s something that has to do with the theme, because I uploaded part of the post form WP, and another from MarsEdit and images uploaded from both appear elongated.
    Anyways, here’s the url:

@conjure1: Don’t highjack another poster’s thread. Post a new topic.

oops, sorry, really it’s my first time experience on WP. I post a new topic even though it’s the same problem?

Yes, please. The problem and its cause may be very different. Added to which, it is extremely difficult to try and conduct multiple conversations in a single thread.

I just got the psychic thing. You made me laugh.

Also, I fumbled about with the browser and there is a ‘compatability view’ button. That fixes the problem.

Does wordpress 2.9.2 take care of the problem? I haven’t updated to that version yet.

    Thanks,

Ok, sorry… anyways, I changed the theme, and it’s working perfectly now. It was a problem of fixed vs flexible width.

@thecyclingtuscan: It’s not a WP issue. It sounds like an IE/CSS problem within your theme if IE8 Compatibility Mode (which effectively makes IE8 behave like IE7) fixes it. That said, I couldn’t see any obviously distorted images on your site but then I haven’t seen the originals. ??

If it’s the very large images that are distorted, it could be that your theme is imposing a maximum image size and that some of your uploaded images exceed this maximum. I’m also assuming that you’ve checked the thumb and medium sized image settings in Admin/Media recently and that you haven’t ticked the “Crop to exact dimensions box”.

    Hey, what do you know?
‘Crop to exact…..box was checked. I must have bumbled.
    I’m fixed up.

    Thanks for the help.
