Picture Renders in Firefox but not Internet Explorer

I have stuck a picture in a theme called 1024px 1.0 by Andreas Viklund, and it looks as I want in firefox, but renders bizarely in IE. I am sure that this is easy to fix for someone who knows coding … but unfortunately not for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
