Picture (for social media sharing) Stopped working

    Hey guys. On one of my websites (I have 5) the pic I use to post on social media just shows blank on face book, and on GAB it posts one of the share icons. I have tried all five websites with 2 different browsers, and it only does it on the website listed. Can someone take a look see and tell me what the trouble is? I have upgraded all 5 to the latest release. I deleted a plugin I thought was the trouble but it still won’t show the selected picture. Oh and I have the same plugins on ALL five websites.

  • Thanks Jon for reaching out. You’re using the free plugin? With those it should work by setting a featured image, but there are scenarios where it doesn’t work. With this plugin https://www.ultimatelysocial.com/usm-premium/ you’ll see a separate section where you can define exactly the text and image which should get shared. Please have a look and let us know if you have questions about it.

    No I have a license for ALL 5 websites. I usually email Nick but can’t find the email I usually reply to ask him for help.

    Aha – please email us at help (at) ultimatelysocial (dot) com.

    Issue was a hotlink protection which blocked images. Disabling that fixed it.
