@alexelia thanks for your topic.
I can see images appear while viewing the AMP version of posts in reader mode (on a mobile device).
Could you let me know how you’re viewing the AMP version and provide a URL where you see the issue?
Hi Renee ??
nice to meet you and thank you. From Safari in my iPhone SE i can’t see images in a lot of posts from google results:
https://www.google.es/amp/s/musica.news/lennon-stella-three-two-one/amp/
https://www.google.es/amp/s/musica.news/brendan-benson-dear-life/amp/
https://www.google.es/amp/s/musica.news/tom-misch-what-kinda-music/amp/Don’t know whay it happens, if is a plugin problem or pic compression or what… sorry for my ignorance!
Alex@alexelia thanks for the info! It seems like this might be specific to mobile (iOS) Safari. Let’s check a few things:
1) Could you disable any optimization plugins you have on the site and let us know if the images reappear?
2) When you visit the AMP links directly do the images appear with your device?
https://musica.news/lennon-stella-three-two-one/amp/
https://musica.news/brendan-benson-dear-life/amp/
https://musica.news/tom-misch-what-kinda-music/amp/Hi again, good morning Renee
1)if I disable the optimization plugin (I only use WP Fastest Cache) the problem persists.
2)YES, if I visit the AMP link directly the images appear
??
@alexelia As your theme features it’s own templates in
reader
mode can you check with another theme temporarily activated? You’ll need to check using one of the AMP cache links you provided. If the same issue persists please share your Site Health information for further troubleshooting.
Hi James nice to meet you and thank you for your time and your help, really appreciate it. I switched to another theme and I did not see any change.
My Site Health information is ok, I have 2 warnings:
AMP-Persistent object cache is not active
The AMP plugin works best when persistent object caching is enabled. The object cache is used to store image dimensions more effectively and to parse CSS.
AMP- A multiple function of cURL is undefined.
The following multiple cURL function is undefined: curl_multi_exec () The AMP plugin can more efficiently determine the dimensions of images without width or height by making parallel requests using multiple cURLs. Learn more about these functions (opens in a new tab)-IMG: site health
@alexelia many thanks for this! For the Site Health Information there is a second tab titled Info. In the image linked, you’ll see it is the 3rd step. You can copy the information to your clipboard and then paste it here as seen in the 4th step. Could you provide this additionally?
HI Renee, how’s going?
Thank youHere we are:

I read that Google wants images for AMP with 1200 pixels at least…
The problem I have is with google results:no image:
https://www.google.es/amp/s/musica.news/oasis-nueva-cancion-medianoche/amp/
yes image:
https://musica.news/oasis-nueva-cancion-medianoche/amp/Dear Renee @reneesoffice y James @jamesosborne
dont’ know what happened. It seems like the problem has been fixed…
From 5 minutes ago, images appear on the post with problems.I checked it from my iPhone SE with Safari, Chrome and Opera.
Really don’t know what happened. I did not change anything. Just update Yoast SEO Plugin.
Any idea? From now I will use 1200×720 pixels images, as Google stated for AMP (and not 1000×600).
Thank you!!!! (hope the problem disappeared finally)@alexelia that’s great to hear! Thanks for the update. We’ll try to find out what may have occurred and follow up if there is more information.
