i’m running weekly mlb, nba, nhl and nfl pickem contests on my website and i would like to make it more automated and i bumped onto your plugin. seems like it’s gonna be working just fine for me. I have three problems though and i need your help:

    1. There’s absolutely no way a member can join 2 or more leagues, right? The only way is for him to have a second account on my website. Right?

    2. to the pickem thing. its only wins and losses. no draws. so i was thinking if all the matches have a default value of 0 in score and member can use the arrows to set to 1 the ones his thinks will win. Values will only be 1 and 0. User won’t be able to se a number higher than 1. Where in your files can i find this to edit?

    3. i have over 5,000 registered users on my website? its very difficult for me to find a member and add him in a league. is there a way the users can be shown alphabetically or add a search box in users page?

Thank u for your help and your script.

    Loizos

PS. if i make your script work for me i would be glad to donate.

    Hi,

    1. Correct, there is no support for members to join 2 or more leagues.
    2. I once made a javascript snippet that changes the prediction sheet into a pickem style sheet where users click the team name they think will win. Maybe this is of any help for you? See this post for the script.
    3. I’ve already built a simple user search. It’s not final yet, but if you want, you can try the bèta of the plugin. The dev version can be downloaded here.

Perhaps the script was not working because jQuery wasn’t yet loaded? You might want to check that. Also, if you are using Chrome, you can use the developer tools to view error messages in the console. Those can help determine why the script is not working.

I just tried it in my local install and the script works on my machine. I added the script to the assets/pool.min.js file (which is always loaded after jQuery).

Antoine the script now works perfectly. Ty. I must have been doing something wrong.

I got one more question about the upgrading to the beta version to add that search feature. How to i do it? Just upload files using ftp and replace? Which will end up removing all settings i have set i guess. Or just zip and upload through wordpress plugin installer?

    Good to hear it’s working.

You can just upload the files via FTP and overwrite the existing files. No settings will be reset. At least not the ones that are set via the admin pages.
If you changed any files of the plugin, you would have to make those changes again.
