We use the type=”picasa” shortcode to pull in our Google Photos from a specified album. I often run into the problem where the page only partially loads, in other words only about three images load and the rest of the gallery is blank. If I refresh the page it often fixes the issue, but this isn’t the best end user experience.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I tried opening your site in a few different browsers a few times, but was not able to replicate this behaviour. I also didn’t see any JS errors on your site that could help me with the analysis.

The next time this happens, can you check to see if there are any JS errors (you can do this by opening the “Developer Tools” in your browser)? Also, can you send me a screenshot?

Thank you for the quick response! The problem is intermittent, and it never produces any JS errors. An example, this morning the following page only displayed three images for me, even though the album is much bigger.

    And, here is a screenshot…

I am testing a theory that this might have something to do with our WP Rocket Cache plugin. I just added all of our photo galleries to the do not cache list and will let you know if this helps.

Yes, caching plugins do tend to interfere with Photonic behavior, because Photonic pulls information dynamically, but caching plugins display a static copy of the post.

Thanks. After I turned off caching for gallery pages the problem seems to be resolved. Thanks for your time.
