    Hi folks,

I am trying to implement my first Woocommerce plugins, that enables Pi Coin Payment as payment gateway in Woocommerce. Everything should work, except it does not show up as payment option in the checkout. I logged all errors – there are none, so clean logs. The plugins (1 for for online payment connecting to the Pi Network API and 1 for offline payment) are correctly loaded, in theory everthing should work like a charm.

Is there anybody here that can help me with that? Would be very much appreciated!

    Cheers
    Achim

  • Hi @achim3001,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I understand you’ve correctly set up your Pi Coin Payment plugins for WooCommerce but are experiencing some issues with it showing up during checkout.

Firstly, please ensure that you have correctly enabled the Pi Coin Payment gateway in your WooCommerce settings. You can do this by navigating to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments. If Pi Coin Payment is listed there, make sure the “Enable” box is ticked.

Secondly, I would recommend testing it out with only WooCommerce and a default theme like Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four, to see if the issue resolves.

Let us know how this goes.

    Hi @ckadenge,

    thank You for Your reply!

Everything is set as You suggest, the Pi Coin Payment gateway is enabled, also I use exactly the Twenty Twenty-Four theme with only Woocommerce and the Pi Coin Payment Plugin installed. Funny thing is – if I add another payment options, such as cash on deliver to be able to send a test order, and after that check the orders via the admin menu and watch it, the Pi Coin Payment option shows up.

As I am not really familiar with the Woocommerce plugins code, I guess some help from an experienced Woo-Coder would be best. I can happily share the plugin, as I have no commercial interests in that, I want to publish the plugin for free anyhow, so there will be no paid / pro / whatever version. I simply want to push the use of Pi Coins, as I am a “Pi-Pioneer” myself and want to have my mined coins rising in value. As this is best done by raising Pi Coin acceptance, I thought opening Pi Coin payments for the WP & Woocommerce community would surely help.

So – if You or someone who knows the Woocommerce code deeper than I do is open for cooperation – I am happily open for sharing the code to finally make it work …

    Looking forward for Your answer,

    Cheers

    Hi again @achim3001,

Thank you for sharing further details on the issue with your plugin.

As you’re able to confirm that the Pi Coin Payment option is only showing up when another payment method is added. This might be due to some conflict or dependency within the Pi Coin Payment Plugin code.

While this forum focuses only on the WooCommerce core plugin, I would recommend joining our WooCommerce Slack community (our developers spend most of their free time there): https://woo.com/community-slack/

    Hope it helps!
