I just setup the plugin to link to my MC account, created a form and when I register I get a popup window confirming the message. The trouble is this is including my actual physical email address, and as this is for a blog style site it’s using my personal physical address! This is obviously not acceptable at all!

I can’t figure out where to edit that to remove it – everything else seems to be working great but that’s a huge deal-breaker.

    Thoughts??

I believe it’s a legal requirement in the USA to disclose your address when singing people up to email newsletters.

Please note we are not affiliated with MailChimp.com. We are a different company “ibericode” that develops plugins such as “MailChimp for WordPress”. I’m sorry to tell you I am not able to help you with this question as it is not related to our plugin. My advice to you is to contact MailChimp.com as they would be the best people to answer any query related to your MailChimp.com account.

You can contact MailChimp.com trough https://mailchimp.com/contact/support/

I hope that helps. If you have any queries specific to our plugin please let us know!

No sweat at all – you’ve answered question #1 which is who to ask about this – I sorta figured it might be MC but thought you might know where. If we do have to disclose a physical address I’ll have to ditch this – as the site I run is for tutorials for a video game and I’m not about to give my home address to a bunch of gamers!

Thanks again for getting back to me so quickly!

Many people use a PO box. Anyway, it’s not related to our plugin so I will mark this as “resolved”.

    Kind regards,
