phpmyadmin

  • I’m very new to WP. I thought of installing blog for my site techtouch.com.my/blog (Windows hosting – supports Php) and have followed the instructions given in this website. And below is the problem i’ve faced during the setup:

    I’ve created DB and also user, by accessing server control panel. Now, I can’t find privileges in the PHPMYADMIN 2.7.0-pl2. And without it, I’m unable to complete the installation.

    Experts, please guide me.

  • Windows hosting is bad. Why do you need that???

    No, you can not add privileges from phpMyadmin ever.
    You need to add the privileges when you create the user – but that process is different on every host.

    Well, the reason I opt for Windows hosting is because i’ve coded my online form in ASP.

    That’s fine – if you don’t want to use it with WordPress.

    On the other hand – your blog is there and shining…

    so I don’t really know what your question is?
    (if the blog is there installed, it means the DB user had the right privileges by default – more normal hosts have that setting ??
