PHP8 and email template module error

    When I upgrade to PHP8 or 8.1 and use Branda with Email Template, any form submission (Forminator) with an email component generates the following error on submission “An error occurred while processing the form. Please try again”. I do not use any other modules for emailing to test with.

    – even a template with just {MESSAGE} and nothing else returns the error

    – Disabling Email Template and submitting form on PHP8 works fine
    – Email template works fine on PHP 7.4
