    SiteGround is updating their installations to PHP7.1 as recommended by WordPress. Part of this process is a scan of all plugins on a site. This is the result for RSS Aggregator.

    225 | WARNING | Use of deprecated PHP4 style class constructor is not supported since PHP 7.

    I’m hoping this is a simple fix so I can continue to use the plugin and not have it break or throw errors.

    Thanks

  • Hi @laughingbear88023,

    Thanks for notifying us of this, we’ll forward this over to the developers to see what they can advise.

    Hey @laughingbear88023, was this warning thrown anywhere in particular on your site or only through a test? If it’s the latter, it should not affect the plugin’s functionality. We are doing internal testing to make sure of that ourselves.

    We will also look into a possible fix to get rid of the warning altogether.

    Thanks again for reporting it to us.

    Hi @laughingbear88023,

    Could you give us more information regarding your actual Web Server, (nginx/Apache), exact PHP 7.1.XX version, and MySQL Version, so we can accurately test. This should not affect the plugin’s functionality or cause conflicts, but we’d like to make sure otherwise.

    Thanks!

    Not sure if it’s related, but when I use the Visual Builder from Elegant Themes, there’s this issue showing at the top of the page that I hadn’t seen before.

    Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in?/home/wpmt/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-rss-excerpts-thumbnails/wp-rss-excerpts-thumbnails.php?on line?366

    The code referenced in WPRSS Excerpts Thumbnails is:
    if ( ( ‘wprss_feed’ === $screen->post_type ) && ( ‘post’ === $screen->base ) ) {

    I’m running … PHP 7.0.28-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 @64BitOS

    @neilticktin

    Could you please send in a support ticket? The forums are for the free core plugin only. ??
