and one more thing. do you have debug on and get any errors at all ?

it was the latest wppizza to the new one you just posted update either this morning or last evening.

can I downgrade the plugin by sftp over the old plugin file overriding this current one? to test.

It is only spiking php5-fpm process when i go on a page with wppizza menu items. all other sites (wordpress sites) hosted on this server do not spike.

whats the current version you have there then where you have that problem ?

yup, should be fine. deactivate, overwrite, reactivate

(might want to take a backup regardless though….)

ok testing now with 2.5 version of plugin

    ok. let me know

so tracing things back this morning i upgraded the plugin and then added specials.

my guy here says that it could be that something got flubbed up in the database a bracket or comma delimiter in the table possibly.

it only pings 99.5 percent cpu when you go to the specials page to view the menu there.

so I will try and delete the specials I made this morning and see if that fixes things.

ok. really interested to see what the outcome of that will be . sounds all quite odd to me ( i take it the load comes from mysql then ?)

    keep me posted please

    thanks

if I run top – it shows php5-fpm taking up the 99% cpu

nginx error log shows timeout upstream and points to php5-fpm as upstream that it is waiting on.

    (@ollybach)

that’s just weird dont you think ?
why on earth is this only happening on your specials page.
one would have thought it either happens everywhere or not at all

makes one think there’s something on that page that causes this

apart for the menu items on that page, is there anything else added there that’s not on any other page , like another plugin inserting stuff there but nowhere else ?

(not pointing fingers , just trying to figure out whats going on)

    Thread Starter nostahl

    (@nostahl)

the only difference between that page and others is I have the words “Todays specials are”

    Plugin Author ollybach

    (@ollybach)

with quotes ? (and even then that’s just bizzarre that it should cause that load )

seriously scratching my head here ??
