php won't run

  • Hi,
    I am trying to install WordPress. I have installed Wampserver and that runs fine – the icon in the systems tray i green and the server is online.
    But when I try to execute install.php my browser (I use Google Chrome) simply displays the text.
    I have read through other posts reporting the same problem but have not been able to find an answer (php and apache runs for me; php files have never executed; and I run in Vista).
    Any help in getting WordPress to run would be much appreciated…

  • Actually it was better if you have posted in localhost.

    There are many ways ways to run WordPress on Windows PC. Some user said that AMPPS is easy for him/her :

    For Wamp : PHP is not executed means there is issue with path. The green indicator is based on running service status. It actually do not troubleshoot.
