  • @kevinsubba, I have the same problem here (only the pdo_sqlite.so error), apparently it is a php5.3 bug.
    https://forums.cpanel.net/f5/undefined-symbol-sqlite3_libversion-148993.html#post632357

    I am on a shared server and although the administrator has offered me to move my sites to a php5.2 server I am reluctant to do this.

    So the question is did you find a better solution? I mean is there something in WP that can be tweaked?

    I am also seeing this problem. While it doesn’t appear to be affecting my blog’s load speed, it is causing my error.log files to become huge. That, in turn, is severely slowing down my site (not database) backups.

    I’d also like to know if there’s something I can tweak in WordPress to make this problem go away. I don’t know enough about PHP and these error messages to have an intelligent discussion with my ISP. They just say it’s a WordPress issue.

    Actually, my error messages are SLIGHTLY different:

    [27-Jun-2010 10:12:27] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/pdo.so' - /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/pdo.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0
    [27-Jun-2010 10:12:27] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/sqlite.so' - /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/sqlite.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0
    [27-Jun-2010 10:12:27] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/pdo_sqlite.so' - /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/pdo_sqlite.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0
    [27-Jun-2010 10:12:27] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/pdo_mysql.so' - /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/pdo_mysql.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0

    It happens with ALL of my WordPress blogs.

    I have the exact same problems in all of my wordpress directories,

    [28-Sep-2010 05:41:50] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20090626/pdo_sqlite.so' - /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20090626/pdo_sqlite.so: undefined symbol: sqlite3_libversion in Unknown on line 0

    Is there any official word on what could be causing this issue?

    sure would like to see some indication of where the issue is, ISP is blaming WordPress, (surprise surprise) It made me wonder what in wordpress is calling sqlite?

    i have the same error message. anyone know why? i am having a problem with a member login widget not working and wonder whether this might be related?

    My error log is full of the same thing, and trying to access my admin area results in a 404 not found – is it possible these things are related?

    it is a bug of php 5.3.2. I think php 5.2.14 is the best. I dont know the bug was solved in php 5.3.3 or not!

    BTW ran into this problem on HostGator (who runs PHP 5.3.2 on their VPS servers).

    This resulted in the permalinks settings page giving me a blank page. While the permalinks actually work, you can’t change the settings anymore through the admin menu…

    Caught the error in the PHP error log.

    (sad-face)

    By the way, in PHP 5.3.2 the issue is easily resolved, actually:

    look at /usr/local/lib/php.ini

    look for something like this

    extension=pdo_sqlite.so
    extension=sqlite.so

    Just comment it out:

    ;;extension=pdo_sqlite.so
    ;;extension=sqlite.so

    Brought the permalinks settings page back to me. ??
