PHP Warning: Attempt to read property “ID”

    Since installing Starbox plugin, the plugin has been consistently throwing this error:

    [07-May-2024 22:33:37 UTC] PHP Warning:  Attempt to read property “ID” on null in /home/refinedr/public_html/wp-content/plugins/starbox/controllers/Frontend.php on line 516

    Are you able to tell me how to clear this error?

    ??Hi Natalie,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    Please go to General Settings, enable the ‘Delete data’ option on deactivation (the very last option). Once done, deactivate the plugin and activate it again. This should do the trick.

    Hi Peter,

    Just looked in my Starbox settings and do not see this option listed anywhere. Can you please tell me what I’m missing?

    You do mean look in the plugin settings, correct?

    I see:

    Visible in?posts toggle

    Visible in?pages toggle

    Show the Starbox with Top Star theme?in the global feed of your blog?(eg. “/blog” page) under each title of every post toggle

    Show the?Open Graph?Profile in meta for each author?details?(useful for rich snippets) toggle

    and then a bunch of theme settings, and then a green SAVE button at the bottom.

    And then an option to GO TO USER SETTINGS.

    Where else should I be looking?

    From what you describe you are looking at Starbox V1, however, the error you presented is from Starbox V2.

    Would you letting us know if you have both plugins? If so, make sure to uninstall Starbox V1 and follow the instructions from above to solve the error from Starbox V2.

    I’m using Starbox Version:?3.5.0 – the free plugin (not Starbox Pro).

    I see, thank you for letting us know. We made un update to the plugin. Please go to WordPress Plugins and update Starbox plugin to the latest version and the issue will be solved.
