PHP vs HTML

Hi, I am a complete novice and newbie at website building which is why of course I choose to use WORDPRESS in the first place.

I have constructed a website (https://buying-wine-online.com) on which I wish to sell wine products. These products are shown on my website using widgets I get from various affiliation programs.

And this is where I am confused and need help.

I have recieved notice of some Special Offers and given the following;

I have made a new page called SPECIAL OFFERS and inserted this code (and others) in to it.

As you will see, all I get is text showing.

My two questions are;
1. How do I use this code correctly so a widget shows
2. What is the differance between PHP and HTML and where do I use
PHP code in the Theme WP 1.6.1
