• I am having trouble accessing my website, and it won’t pop up at all. It seems that I have a version of 7.4.33 for Creative Mail. The only thing that is shown when I try to get to my website is the following:

Fatal error: Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version ">= 8.0.0". You are running 7.4.33. in?~public_html/wp-content/plugins/creative-mail-by-constant-contact/vendor/composer/platform_check.php?on line?24

On your home page, it says that in regards to upgrades “PHP Version: 7.3 or higher” for the latest version of “1.6.9

I am using the Jetpack Plugin for WordPress. I cannot use/edit any part of my account menu because it says that “Jetpack can’t communicate with your site due to a critical error on the site.

@bassmann84 It sounds like you are running version 1.6.8, which contains a bug that impacts sites with PHP versions below 8.0. You’ll want to update to version 1.6.9 of the plugin. Given the site is down, there are a few things that you can do; any one of which will resolve the issue:

    • Update to PHP 8.0+: You should consider updating to at least PHP 8.1 as anything below that doesn’t receive security updates. PHP 8.2 or 8.3 would be better.
    • Remove the creative-mail-by-constant-contact folder in the wp-content/plugins directory and re-install via WordPress to get the latest version
    • Run wp plugin update creative-mail-by-constant-contact --skip-plugins via WP-CLI to update to the latest version.

You may need to check with your web host if you’re not sure how to perform any of the above items.
