I had a message to update my PHP, but when doing so the site crashed. What is the appropriate level at this point, and when will PHP 8+ versions be supported?

Hi. PHP 8 is already supported. It might produce some warnings (we are working on that) but shouldn’t crush your website. Maybe it was something else? Can you share an error report with us? Thanks.

I can’t reproduce it without reverting back to PHP8, but every page showed several lines or errors across the top of the page, listed by line number.

Hi. Sorry to have kept you waiting, we tried to test everything on our side from all angles, but so far we couldn’t file any errors. There are some issues seen in the log, but we couldn’t find any problems with functionality. Maybe the errors are not connected to the theme, but to some plugin you are using. In any case, you can turn the error reporting off in wp-config.php. We can do one of the following – either you send us your error report so we can see ourselves what is going on (the option of reverting to PHP8 and send us a screenshot also stands), or you can wait until we upgrade the Kirki Framework to the latest release and do some other enhancements, and see if it helps. We are planning to roll out the next update in the upcoming weeks.

Hi. Please roll back to 7.4 and wait for the next update of the theme. It won’t be long, up to two weeks.
