• Hello Demis,

The following error crashed two sites:

PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'string' (T_STRING), expecting function (T_FUNCTION) or const (T_CONST) in /wp-content/plugins/nicescrollr/includes/class-nsr.php on line 68

The CSS error that I asked about over 4 months ago was not corrected. Could you take a look?

    Hello Malae

Does this occur in the latest version?

Should be fixed by version 0.82.

    Hello Demis,

It was not occurring on all sites. I had deactivated Nicescrollr on the sites which had the syntax error. Today, I installed version 0.8.1, but still have the error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'AdminIncludes' (T_STRING), expecting function (T_FUNCTION) or const (T_CONST) in /wp-content/plugins/nicescrollr/includes/class-nsr.php on line 70

I look forward to getting version 0.8.2

Should be gone by now. If not, uninstall and reinstall the plugin again. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

    Hello Demis,

No problem, I like the Nicescrollr very much and am happy to assist.

Yesterday, version 0.8.2 had not appeared, so 0.8.1 was the last version, which I reported on above. I assumed version 0.8.2 was on the way. Today it appeared in the plugin updates and I installed it.

We still have a parse error, although different:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'string' (T_STRING), expecting function (T_FUNCTION) or const (T_CONST) in /wp-content/plugins/nicescrollr/shared/class-nicescroll-localisation.php on line 43.

    Hello Malae

Please let me know if you still get parse errors with version 0.8.3.

    Many thanks,

    Demis

    Hello Demis,

This morning I found version 0.8.4 and installed. The parse errors are fixed and the plugin loaded on the 2 recalcitrant websites. However, on one site I have a new issue: the Nicescrollr cursor functions normally, but the default cursor is still showing too. This occurs with Chrome, Edge and Firefox desktop browsers. I was going to rollback to version 0.8.3 but couldn’t find it in the trunk.

I updated to version 0.8.4 on other sites and had no issues.

Do you want me to close this parse error topic and open a new one?

    Hello Malae

Thanks for reporting back. Do you mean the cursor or the scrollbar? Nicescroll shouldn’t affect the cursor. could you please send me screenshots of your setings to demispatti aht gmail dhot com? I cannot reproduce.

    Thanks for your efforts! ??

    Hello Demis,

Sorry for causing confusion, I was distracted by other unrelated local problems, I should have written scrollbar. I have sent you a shot of the double screenbar.
