PHP Notice: unserialize()

Just after a clean wp install, IWP not installed but DEBUG is on:
Notice: unserialize(): Error at offset 0 of 75 bytes in /home/davidprog/dev/emanuelparents/server/wp-content/plugins/better-wp-security/inc/secure.php on line 20
if $data is not a serialized data, then do not process it
(do not know how to test that)
