  • If you’ve installed (or have access to) cPanel you can go to “php Version” and checkmark the missing extensions (e.g. mbstring). If you are using a VPS u can do it on the command line. That’ll fix your problem.

    thanks for the quck response.

    I’m not using a VPS and I use a mac, so that sounds a little foreign to me.

    I have access to all my folders and files via the control panel with my host iPower. Is there something I can do through that?

    After some googling I found a way to upgrade the php version on iPower (it’s a special link they don’t tell you about
    https://members.ipower.com/member/cgiManagement/PHPplus.bml)

    and upgraded to 5.5 from 3.5 which should include the necessary extensions.

    I’m hoping that solved the issue.
